Kory & Brittany

I'm kicking myself right. The execution of this plan went perfect. Everything fell into place nicely...the baking was great, the consistency of the fillings and frosting was amazing, the monogram was perfect, the stacking of the cakes went smoothly...it all went good. Then, i go to get my camera...and it's no where to be found. Are you kidding me? really? i planned everything so well and then i forget the camera. There was no turning back either, the wedding was a good 30 minutes from home, so i apologize about the quality of the pictures (i used my phone). When Brittany first approached me about the cake she had told me it wasn't the "traditional" type wedding cake and she was right... but the end result was beautiful. It took several tries with the recipes to make sure it was perfect, especially with the top tier. Kory's favorite cookie is the white chocolate macadamia. So that's exactly what the top tier is, a white chocolate macadamia cake with white chocolate ganache filling, frosted in buttercream and coated with white chopped macadamia nuts. The middle tier was a chocolate cake with chocolate ganache filling, frosted in a chocolate buttercream and coated with chopped chocolate. The bottom tier was a white cake with raspberry mousse filling frosted in buttercream and coated with chopped white chocolate. The cakes were stacked and cascade of pink gladiolas finished the look. The Batman grooms cake was chocolate with a raspberry filling, frosted in buttercream and covered in fondant. My house still smells like chocolate :) Unfortunetely i was not able to stay for the reception but the set up was perfect. The past 2 days it has been freezing and we actully had our first snow for the season a couple days ago so i was really hoping today would cooperate and it did. Months of planning went into making this day special and all seemed to go as scheduled and from the glimpse i saw of Brittany, she was beaming from ear to ear and looked fantastic. I wish you both the very best, may your union be full of love and happiness. I feel honored to have been part of your special day :)
