I heart cupcakes!

Well...as usual this year I had to work on Valentines Day. Nothing like work to kill the mood of one of my favorite day's of the year. To be honest, I think I'm more in love with the colors of Valentines Day more than anything. I love love love red and pink. So to brighten the day just a bit more I baked some vanilla cupcakes with a touch of blueberry, topped it off with pink and white whipped icing and voila! Valentines cupcakies for my sweeties! They were yummy!

Cowboys vs. Cardinals?

These cakes were made a few weeks apart. The Dallas Cowboys cake was made for a kid named Micah who celebrated his 15th birthday. The Arizona Cardinals cake was made for his little brother Aanor. The smile it brought to their faces when they saw it was good enough for me! Their mom was telling me that each one of her kids has a favorite team. I'm a Pittsburgh Steelers fan so I'm keeping my fingers crossed one of the kids likes that team as well...it would fun getting creative with black and yellow! Next month i'll be making her 4 year old a horse themed birthday cake so keep an eye out for that!
