Western mini
So i know i've been neglecting my blog lately...sorry. I've been one busy gal. Not so much with cakes which is a good thing and a bad thing. I enjoy making cakes and have missed it but its been nice not having to do them each weekend because there's always something else that needs my attention. Anyhow, this was my order from today. Cute huh? It's a 6 inch round chocolate cake decorated with a western theme. The cake itself is buttercream and the rope, bandana and boot are fondant. I stayed inside all morning working on this and went to deliver it...guess what? it was snowing! Yup. The last i checked it was mid April right? Only in Flagstaff i suppose :) We need the moisture so i won't complain but it's never fun driving around in this type of weather. I hope the birthday gal loves this and a big thanks to Kylee for the order! Toodles :)

Harry Potter
I uploaded this pic last week and i finally have the time to tell you a little about it :) Heather ordered this for her daughter Hayden. I'm thrilled i was able to make her birthday cake again this year. Heather sent me the a great picture of Hayden getting ready to blow out her candle, she had the biggest smile on her face which of course made my day. I love it when my cakes can brighten up a celebration. When she ordered it, she informed me that this year's theme was Harry Potter and that Hayden's favorite character is Dobby. So as you can see, he's sitting right on top! This is a white cake with raspberry filling, frosted in buttercream and covered in fondant. I hope your birthday was a blast Hayden. Thank You Heather for the order, i'm looking forward to the next one :)
Smash cake
i think this is my first smash cake. Isn't it cute? I'm thinking i need to dedicate a whole separate page to smash cakes as i get more because i love them. They're so small and darn cute. This is a 6 inch round carrot cake frosted in buttercream decorated in a Sock Monkey theme. These little guys, although small can serve quite a bit of people, but since it was specifically for a 1 year old, he wasn't having the sharing business :) Jen told me she tried taking it away from him and he got upset, lol. So i'm sure he loved it :) Thanks for the order Jen and Happy First Birthday to Mr. Warren.
