MY FAVORITE

As you've guess by now i'm sure...this is my favorite! I loved this little cake. It actually didn't take me as long as I thought it would. It was requested by a good friend for her brother who just happens to be a Liutenant for the Sheriffs Dept. It was modeled after a toy police car model he has. But get this...the inside was just as great (not to toot my own horn or anything) but it wasn't your average white cake with fruit filling. It was a chocolate guinness cake, filled with whipped chocolate ganache with a hint of Jameson Irish Whiskey and covered in Bailey's Irish Cream buttercream icing! I covered the cake in fondant and voila! An Irish Car Bomb cake! It was fun and quite tasty if i do say so myself. It made me so happy that everyone enjoyed it.

A two-tier for a two year old!

I have to ask myself why I really even still have this blog...i'm so bad at keeping it updated. But in my defense...I haven't been getting too many cake orders. I'm certainly not going to just do it for kicks because then who would I get to eat the cakes?!!? I know...the fat kid loves cake right? I really do and if I honestly had it my way...that's all I would probably eat. But i can't always get what I want. So in the mean time, you'll have to just settle for my updates every three months or so. I'll try to get better, I promise! So this cake was made this past Friday. Before I take all the credit though, I have to fess up, my husband came up with the design. I had drawn one out also but he decided it was too "earthy". But it's okay, my feelings weren't hurt at all. His design was way better and it was perfect for Serenity, who was turning 2. Both tiers were white cake with a strawberry filling, frosted in buttercream and covered in fondant. Let me tell you, this cake was so heavy when it was finished. My arms for sure got their workout just moving it around. These pictures however are not the best quality, they're from my cell phone. Whenever I get around to it, i'll upload the pictures from my camera...the colors are so much better on it. Enjoy!
