Ah, I might as well jump...JUMP!

Okay, if you're familiar with one of the greatest bands EVER, you should know what this is. It's the Eddie Van Halen Frankenstein guitar! How fun is this cake!?!? My friend and boss, Val, ordered it for her nephews graduation cake. I absolutely LOVE it. I have been waiting for forever to make a guitar cake, but specifically Frankenstein. So i was super stoked when she ordered it, i really wanted to get started on it that day :) The yumminess inside is a chocolate cake with oreo cream filling frosted in buttercream and covered in fondant. About 30 minutes before pick up i realized my daughter got her sticky fingers on and threw away the pieces for the tuning machines :( So realizing i was almost out of time i had to whip up some pieces made of fondant :) and tada...it was complete! Thanks for the order Val, this one was AWESOME!! Congratulations Zach, i hope you love your cake.

For all the Momma's

I'm a day early but thought i'd share this with everyone...especially all the Momma's. We have a tough job that keeps us busy 24/7. We're no stranger to muddy faces and clothes, scraped knees and elbows, spilled drinks on a freshly cleaned carpet; we've had many sleepless nights and most of the time were running out the door because of the all too familiar "i'm running late". We kiss bumps and bruises, read bed time stories, play "pretend", have arguments with the kiddos that start way to early (2 years old), give tight hugs and love our babies more than anyone could ever understand. We hope to raise responsible adults while guiding our babies from a young age and all the while wanting them to have fun and make memories. It's a tough job, but one I would never trade for anything in this world. Happy Mother's Day!
