Mr. Squarepants

I finally had a birthday cake order that didn't involve a sheet cake!!! I love it. I was super excited when I was asked to make a tiered Spongebob themed cake. The pineapple house was carved to its shape, iced with buttercream and covered in fondant. The cake tiers were basic white cake without filling covered in buttercream. I used the buttercream to draw Patrick and Squidward on fondant squares and put them on the side of the cake. I still have to move a few pictures from my camera to the computer...but as soon as I do, i'll be sure to post them. So, stay tuned!

WOW...ITS BEEN AWHILE

I did not realize its been so long since my last post! Its been easy to just get on with day to day things that i've put this blog on the back of my list for quite some time. I've been making cakes...so i have quite a few pictures to post. This Hello Kitty cake was made for a friend of mine. Its her birthday today and she loves Hello Kitty, so Happy Birthday!! Its an 8 inch double layer white cake with strawberry filling. Covered w/ buttercream and fondant. I'm hoping to get more cake orders in like this...fun and colorful! i love it. I made a spongebob cake last week so keep an eye out for that.
