Roaaarrrrr...

Would that be the sound a sharp tooth makes? LOL. Celeste ordered this for a little man turning the BIG 4. He loves dinosaurs, especially the king of them all, Mr Tyrannosaurus Rex. I actually modeled this cake after a picture they found online. She wanted it replicated or something like it...so this was my version. Pretty cool huh? I think most kids go through a dinosaur phase and i assume the favorite is always the king here...but i don't know. My favorites are the triceratops and stegosaurus...like Cera and Spike from Land Before Time, i love that movie. It's a white cake frosted in buttercream and covered in fondant. I hope he loves it! Happy Birthday Riley!!

Green Bay Packers

I've mentioned it a couple times before so i'm sure you're well aware...i'm a Steelers fan...i come from a Steelers household...we cheer the Black and Yellow! So when i got this cake order and i told my husband...he gave me...THE LOOK! lol. When my brother saw it...his reaction was...The Packers? lol. Maybe, just maybe i would say no to orders involving this team ;) but i love Heather :) She's a faithful fatkidlovescake follower. And quite honestly, when it really comes down to it...cake is cake, right? lol. And i happen to think it turned out really well! don't you? She ordered this cake for her husband's birthday and as usual she left the design up to me. I knew going in...i had to pay homage to the cheesehead :) Its a white cake with raspberry filling frosted in buttercream and covered in fondant. With the exception of the the sticks the pennants are on, its all edible! I have another order for her coming up later this month so keep your eyes peeled. Yay for football season!! Go PACKERS! and of course...GO STEELERS! It think it's going to be a great season :) As always, THANK YOU for the order Heather...i'm so thrilled you keep coming to me for business. You're amazing!!! :)

Monkey Business

I was thrilled when Angie asked me to make her son's first birthday cake. All birthdays are special but the first one is extra special! We had discussed several ideas but ultimately it came down to making a cake that went along with the birthday invitation. The cake was designed using the same colors and pattern. This is a white cake with strawberry cream filling frosted in buttercream...mmmmmmm. The monkey is edible too! Angie was a former co-worker of mine and we've remained friends, so I remember when he was born and can't get over how fast he's growing. I hope Mr Kash loves every bit of it! Happy 1st Birthday Baby Boy!

Mountie Hat

Tammy's 25th Birthday is approaching so a couple of friends decided a cake would be needed. It was a chocolate cake with ganache and strawberry filling, frosted in buttercream icing and covered in fondant. I had a feeling she would love it because she likes to talk about this style of hat ;) The look on her face when she saw it was awesome! Good work Michelle and Heather, for working as a team on this idea. One of the funnier cakes i've had to make...i love it! Happy Birthday Tammy!

Dallas Cowboys

Yay! The NFL Lockout is over...football season is approaching!! My Steelers are going to be playing. And so will this team...the Dallas Cowboys. A helmet cake for a huge Cowboys fan. I hope he loved it. The cake itself was the Irish car bomb...a chocolate Guiness cake with Jameson Irish Whiskey ganache and Bailey's Irish Creme icing. I covered it in fondant and VOILA!...a helmet.

BUSY AS A BEE

So this past weekend was a busy one for me. I had a cake order for Friday, Saturday and Sunday. This was the first one...
It was ordered for Iain. His mom said he likes video games, specifically Mortal Kombat and Tekkin were mentioned...his favorite teams are Phoenix Suns, GreenBay Packers, and Arizona DiamondBacks. I decided to have each tier a different design, and of course base them off what he likes. With the bottom tier, I figured because it's baseball season, I would go with the DiamondBacks Logo. Happy Birthday Iain!

Au Revoir...Sayonara...Hasta Luego...Shalom...See ya sucka :)

This cake was made because our friend is off to exciting and brighter things. I remembered he likes chocolat...so I decided to make a chocolate cake with a chocolate cream filling frosted in a chocolate buttercream. It was almost death by chocoate...hehehehe. It was suggested I design the cake after our 911 Dispatcher patch so I did just that. I thought it came out nice and it got compliments so that's good. I'd say goodluck John(again)...but we talked about this...so, how about...i'll buy you a beer? better? :) You were awesome at this job and many of us will miss you, so keep in touch!
